The Irons turned in an excellent display in north London, running out 1-0 winners thanks to Michail Antonio’s strike and becoming the first team to beat Spurs at their new stadium in the process.
Diop enjoyed a flawless display in defence, helping to nullify the threats of Son Heung-Min and Fernando Llorente throughout the 90 minutes.
Per WhoScored, Diop collected the joint-highest rating of any Hammer, along with match-winner Antonio.
The 22-year-old completed both of the two tackles he attempted, made seven clearances, six interceptions and also completed the one dribble he attempted, an exceptional run from deep that led to a shot on target.
