According to 90min.com, Tottenham are expecting to complete a deal for Nuno Espirito Santo favourite Adama Traore this summer.
The Lowdown: Deadline Day closing in
There are just seven days of the transfer window left, and so far Spurs have made three signings in Pierluigi Gollini (tottenhamhotspur.com), Bryan Gil and Cristian Romero.
They have been heavily linked with a move for £27m-valued Traore (Transfermarkt), and now there has been an update on the Spain international.
The Latest: Spurs expecting to capture Traore
As per this latest report, Spurs are expecting to get a deal sorted for the winger.
Nuno is said to be eager to reunited with the Wolves man and, while there are still some issues in regards to the nature of the deal, they are mainly down to the structure of the move and are expected to be resolved swiftly.
Wolves would like any deal this summer to be permanent while Spurs are hoping to secure an initial loan, but 90min believe this is ‘not seen as a major stumbling block’, while Nuno is personally pushing Fabio Paratici to bring the speedster to north London.
The Verdict: Rough diamond
Traore is one of the most exciting players in the Premier League. While his end product is not always the best – he has just ten goals and 18 assists in 133 games for Wolves (Transfermarkt) – he is one of the fastest players in the division (talksport.com) and has the ability to beat a man with ease.
At £40m, Traore would not come cheap. But he enjoyed a good partnership with Nuno at Molineux and, still aged just 25, there is plenty of time for him to improve.
He could well be a fantastic signing for Spurs if Daniel Levy can get a deal done.
In other news, Tottenham want to sign this Serie A midfielder for free.
