da cassino: Forget everything you know about football, as the beautiful game is about to get even more easy on the eye. Dispel memories of rainy evenings in Stoke or miserable trips to watch your side lose at home while paying over the odds for a cup of tea and a pie, and instead switch to N5L. The newly formed National Fives League combines street soccer, music, dance and even pyrotechnics to create a new form of entertainment, aiming to please everyone.
da imperador bet: So, what is it?
N5L is a twist on traditional five-a-side football. The set-up aims to add a greater all-round experience, merging sport and entertainment into a package that can be enjoyed by everyone. Skilful players will please lovers of the game, kids will be entertained by the sideshows and the whole family will be thrilled with affordable tickets and access.
How does it work?
The games are essentially five-a-side football with the winning team the one to score the most goals in the allotted time. Simple.
The teams…
Right now there are four teams gearing up for action:
London Stones
Liverpool Sergeants
Birmingham Electric
Manchester Novas
The players…
This is where it gets really interesting. The teams are made up of freestyle footballers, former academy stars from top sides and some of the most talented players to have just missed out on a career at the highest level of the game we all love.
Sean Garnier is a big name, with the Internet sensation sure to turn heads. The former Auxerre and Troyes footballer had over 20m hits on his YouTube videos last year alone, in which he shows off his skills for the camera.
Jayzinho adds some Chilean flair, Dutchman Edward van Gils featured in EA’s FIFA Street, Soufiane Bencok is known for his staggering ‘Bencok Clutch’ trick and there’s even some English talent in the shape of Rob Ursell and Stuart Cook – the latter is the captain of the Manchester Futsal Club.

Proof that they’re awesome…
What will happen?
Inaugural games between London Stones & Liverpool Sergeants and Birmingham Electric & Manchester Novas in July (tickets here) will whet the appetite before the big season officially kicks off in 2016. Teams from eight UK cities will take part to be crowned the nation’s best in the only professional five-a-side league.
Matches will take place at Wembley Arena (22nd July) and the Barclaycard Arena (July 29th).
Aside from the football…
There will be live entertainment at each event, ranging from music to pyrotechnics. The aim is to make the whole event a feast for all the senses!
