Looking at how Salah has been performing this season, he has had ten shots on goal and provided three key passes in the past four games, despite not scoring any goals (Whoscored), suggesting he is still having an impact in matches.
The Egyptian has also scored 13 goals in 16 starts for Liverpool, the highest in the Premier League so far this season and he is therefore in line to secure his third Golden Boot in four years.
With this in mind, supporters questioned Bent’s structure to his argument and wanted this “narrative” to be brought to a close as soon as possible.
